VX-550
The VX-550 moves up a size in the VX series: workpieces up to 350 mm in diameter and 550 mm in length, swing over carriage of 280 mm, travel of 185 mm in X and 550 mm in Z and rapid traverse of 30 m/min.
The spindle has an A2-6 nose, a 63 mm bore and a 200 mm three-jaw chuck; power is 9 / 12 (P) kW in the Fanuc configuration. Weight is approx. 3,100 kg.
Compared with the VX-400 SUPER, with the same nose and the same bore, it offers more diameter, more length and more power. The VX-550 SUPER has the same working area with an A2-8 nose, a 90 mm bore, a 250 mm chuck and 11 / 15 kW, but rapid traverse of 24 m/min instead of 30 m/min.
